      I think the plan is electric scooters and motorcycles. They work really well with battery swap stations, since the batteries are small enough for a person to pick up and stick in a charging station.

        I see. That’s a plan with the infrastructure for it and all. How much do the battery packs weight? A while ago I researched e-motor scooters here in the EU and came across the Silence S02 with a 40kg pack to push on wheels or some other model with 2 x 20 kg packs, which could be a bit much. It turns out some models apparently go as low as 2 x 12 kg.

        Still, this could be also a great chance for Hanoi to start a project for electric buses, if they haven’t already.

    It is tragic Vietnam fell to communism, past Vietnamese would be heartbroken to see their country undermined from the inside by electric vehicles.

    Will someone care about the profits of fossil fuel companies in Vietnam enough to protect them from cheap affordable EVs? It looks doubtful.
