Food ought to be a human right and that extends to people who voted for an administration that’s trying to make that worse than it already is.

If you’re defining compassion as believing everyone has the same human rights then I’ve got loads of it. The problem with the folks you’re talking about is that they don’t believe the same. Whether or not they deserve what they get or get what they deserve is out of scope for my definition of compassion.

Food is a human right. I still have no compassion for people who would rather see me starving or dead…

I can hold no compassion for people and still agree that they deserve to live. I’m not callous.

Let me say it louder for the people that need to hear it.

Everyone gets a plate but not everyone will have a place at the table.

I’m empathetic about their plight, but I feel no compassion. I’m sure the assholes who voted for the leopard and then got bit by the leopard are in a shitty situation. I hope things work out for them. I hope they don’t suffer too much, but I won’t lift a finger to help them.

I’d say I’m almost the opposite as you? I guess not really.

I hope they do get bit, I hope it kinda sucks, but I absolutely will lift a finger to help them.
