  • Well, what else are we supposed to do? Our hands are tied. I live in the Seattle metro and for some insane reason we don’t have a single retail option for graphics cards. I wasn’t able to get one off Newegg on launch day before they were all gone to bots, so my only option was eBay.

I hate enabling scalpers but it was either that or risk paying 47’s stupid fucking tariffs. I had a narrow window to skip the tariffs upcharge and I took it. I would rather pay the extra $200 to an asshole scalper than to the federal government so they can spend it on their gestapo.

No, they need to be on weekdays. They need to disrupt business and be visible. Weekend protests in front of empty government buildings are worthless.

Edit: worthless was the wrong word. They’re not worthless, they just seem too easy to ignore for rich politicians who just go to one of their vacation homes every weekend. Or stay at home in their giant homes outside the city.

  • I would think that could work from a structural point of view, but they would have to seal it somehow to prevent more microplastics from being created. Plastics aren’t often used as a building material because of toxic off-gassing, but of course this would be outside which would mitigate the issue.

Asphalt is one of the most recyclable materials in existence, when they tear up an asphalt road they just melt it down and pour it back on. If there was plastic involved it would probably interrupt this process.

But I’m not expert. Maybe it would work.
