Given the amount of whining about “Genocide Joe” and how bad a candidate Harris was, I wouldn’t be so sure of that.

There were plenty of people on here saying how they had to “send a message to Democrats” or some variant of that, and saying “at least Trump promised change”.

Now they’re saying it’s not their fault that they actively chose to sit at home on election day and it’s still the Democrats’ fault for not having a better candidate. As if there was some other outcome to not voting.

Oh, trust me, I know. Check my post history and the responses. I was repeatedly insulted and downvoted to oblivion for simply pointing that out. Never once did I get an answer to the question of “How is allowing Trump to return to power in any way better?” that wasn’t simply a barrage of nonsense and insults essentially telling me to go fuck myself.

“How dare Harris accept an endorsement and campaign with Liz Cheney? I am so mad that she allied herself with a former Trump supporter that I’m going to sit home and let Trump return to power! That’ll show 'em!”

“I am so mad about the state of the economy and the price of groceries that I’m going to vote for the guy who promised to make me pay even more!”

These people were so adamant that the leopard wouldn’t eat their face that they stuck their head shoulder-deep into the leopard’s mouth, and are now suddenly shocked and surprised when the leopard bit down.

People can dislike what the current administration is doing and dislike what the next administration is going to do. Both parties in the US suck, but one more than the other in my view.

Right. But then you vote for the least bad option. You don’t let the exponentially worse option come back to power and then complain when they start doing even worse things.

FYI, those were trolls. You can tell by them disappearing about these topics right after the election. Also, the spamming they did on a very precise schedule.

Those specific ones may be trolls, but the election results clearly show that there were a number of people in this country that genuinely felt that way.

Those who didn’t vote against him (but legally could) are also culpable.

But hey at least they get to ride their high horse with bloodied hands while the world burns

“Broad Range of Human Rights threatenable by executive order, points to Broad Range of Human Rights not codified under law. A Broad Range of Human Rights should not have been protected by just tradition and democratic executive orders.”
