Yeahhhh that’s like one of the biggest downsides of these phones, seriously if Sony price each of them $200 lower they’d be selling like hot cake since they are really all some of the last non-compromising phones if you’re also into rooting and OS mods and such.
Alternatively consider to get one of the newer ones and use it as your daily driver for better value, they are all extremely well build and you can easily use them for 4-5 years :p
Especially the gen V model also recently got their first Release of LineageOS for this model! :D
Yea, I’m a cheap bastard. I’d rather have 2 or 3 of the same phone a couple years old than 1 newer one for the same price. Then I can test or have a hot spare when I inevitably screw something up. 😲
