    To stop YouTube from suggesting a specific channel, follow these steps:

    1. Open YouTube on your device.
    2. Hover over a video from the unwanted channel on your homepage or sidebar.
    3. Click the three dots that appear next to the video title.
    4. Select “Don’t recommend channel” from the dropdown menu

        Maybe try opening the yt app on your tv amd doing it through that UI. Could be your desktop browser’s anti-tracking is messing it up.

          I only use yt though a web browser or through Grayjay. I don’t even have a smart tv. If the 3rd party antitracking stuff is messing things up, I’ll fix it with other 3rd party stuff.

              No, the 3rd party blocker is working just fine. Before that, I would select “Not Interested” or “Don’t recommend this channel” and it would remove certain channels for a while, but eventually the algo decided that I wanted to see those “high engagement” channels.

                I use FreeTube on linux, SmartTube on my android TV and the native Yt app on mobile (got tired of apps dying)

                FreeTube and SmartTube have zero suggestion algo afaik
