    Its definitely harder to get healthcare staff to work in a city where a house is literally millions of dollars, they’ll go to the US if they have a brain. I agree Ford didn’t do anything to help, but I’d also say if every province has a doctor shortage then maybe its not a local issue.

    The Feds also lead to stagnant GDP growth, by blocking our exports with bad laws. As they simultaneously borrowed a ton and ballooned the size of government, starving resources from productive investment; which being cynical its hard to pay higher taxes when you’re wage isnt growing and you’re funding Tim Horton’s workers to bring their senior parents onto our healthcare.

      Feds could do more, sure, but it’s still a provincial problem.

      You deal with the province to:

      Carry over your medical cert.

      Immigrate. yeah, it’s a weird one! If you’re skilled, you deal with the province, first

      Set up a practice.

      Bring in other talent.

      Buying a house.

      Etc, etc.

      Healthcare is much more a provincial product then federal, but that’s not to say the federal government is helping as much as it can with things.
