I used to love the eery atmosphere and immersiveness of the first installment, but I remember missing these aspects from DL 2 at launch day (pirated it), but I wanna buy it at the summer sale perhaps now.

If anyone played DL 2 recently, did the game get some more immersive improvements or perhaps are there mods that can make it have a more atmospheric feeling?

The game feels better and definitely has more content.

The story is still shit, but combat and ragdoll physics got a lot better fortunately. They fixed the annoying crafting system.

The game is still super easy except at night where the difficulty different is pretty high, but overall it’s still pretty much a joke compared to DL1.

It finally doesn’t have the Denuvo shit DRM anymore so that’s nice. Side quests are still a bit shit, though they reworked some main story ones slightly. Feel free to ask if there are specific points you want to talk about

Oh, and we got guns, but I haven’t unlocked them yet

Annoying crafting system? What was the original crafting system like? Do you mean the generic RPG leveling weapons and such?

So it seems that playing the game on hard should be the default, right?

Tbf I welcomed the no guns feature, but I don’t mind either of those

Sorry, I meant to say annoying repair system. Weapons often break and could only be repaired a fixed amount of time. Now this is gone, and they can be repaired at multiple NPCs for gold and components.

I don’t remember what I set but yea, it’s definitely too easy. Might be my fault though. The problem is that setting high difficulty removes some cool UI elements like enemy HP and attack indicators which I like
