Tangential Question: Is Sailor Moon manga worth reading as an adult?
She’s can just rez them later. What’s the big deal?
-the life cleric who just watched the entire party get destroyed while they hid behind a rock
Well if you are talking about the end of the first season this wasn’t like she wanted them to die. They all, step by step, without her consent, sacrificed themselves because they knew she was the most powerful and had to go on to have a shot at defeating the dark moon kingdom. If I recall correctly she also dies at the end, and they are all resurrected with amnesia.
And this is how I learned Sailor Moon has a lot of deaths.
Wait til you find out about the Shadow Realm
“Because if they didn’t die for me, I would have died for them. And then the show’s title wouldn’t make sense.”
“The author wrote it that way to increase suspense. Don’t worry, though. My friends will be resurrected because they’re very marketable.”
“Don’t worry. We’re on a set.”
“I’m the motherfucking protagonist, bitch.”
This came up as a plot point in some other animated show, and for the life of me I can’t figure out what it was…
Like the realization that they were hurting so many people so they could survive and save the world or whatever it was… and it just killed them inside…
(And I’m fairly certain I’m not thinking of Rick and Morty, although that does sort of happen as well… and I don’t think it was bojack horseman either…)
Doctor Who?
Edit: oh you say animated though
The woman is right!
