There was so much hate on Tesla for this saying it was all fraud, while Tesla was adamant it was just backlogged paper work.

Hopefully those who prejudged and were harsh to the company online about this incident, can come to see that not everything you read online is true, and that maybe, just maybe, you should actually wait for the final results before condemning a company for something like this, and stating it as fact.

I won’t hold my breath for the apologies for asshole comments when I said this at the time of the news.

I despise Musk as much or more than the next guy, but irrationally losing your shit over something that was obviously a paperwork glut at a deadline and then shitting on anyone that said as much is juvenile as fuck.

Hate Elon, hate Tesla, but use your bloody head.

Juvenile is probably going to easy on them. It’s toxic and not how a community like this should behave, and participating in things like that leads to further toxic participation.

About this incident specifically: maybe I was too quick to judge. But I’ll still hate the company for making pieces of shit overpriced Swastikars.

Really, that’s all I’m hoping people will realize and take forward with them in the future through this experience.

Still plenty of reasons to hate the company, this doesn’t change that.

That’s fair and acceptible by the rules the Canadian gov’t had in place.

And I get people being unhappy Tesla used the rules to their own benefit … but the problem isn’t with Tesla … it’s with the Trudeau gov’t who did sfa to make the rules strong, where ‘saving’ sales for a future ‘windfall’ was NOT allowed.

Don’t be pissed at the messenger here. Be angry with the leadership that made lax rules that helped the rich cunts more than it did the average human being.

I’m honestly surprised that any company would sit on $43 million for any substantial period. While I’m happy that American companies and Tesla in particular are being removed from the EV rebate program, I’d be happier if the stupidest trade war ended and Musk stopped being an enormous piece of shit.

    Lmao,

CTV News asked the office of Minister of Transport if all the claims made by Tesla in January were valid and if they’ve been paid out. Minister Chrystia Freeland’s office has yet to provide a clear answer and did not confirm that they’re looking at potentially launching a new rebate program.

    https://www.ctvnews.ca/business/autos/article/government-pondering-a-new-rebate-program-for-made-in-canada-evs/

But ya, I’m sure driveteslacanada isn’t a biased source with its fuckin referral links for tesla’s at the bottom of the page.
