    Mine was pink and horrible. But I loved it. I mean, they were cheap and lasted a long time. In fact, every now and then I visit some local shops and still find them around.

    I had a very similar CD/cassette/radio as a teen. Used to sit listening to the Top 40 and hitting record just as the good songs came on.

    Recently dug one up. My older kid is interested in retro tech, so he has the boom box, a record player and a cassette player. He’s started buying vinyl and cassettes, and discovered my old crate of CDs in the basement

    i have one with tape and radio. it has rca line in and out, so it’s only use the last couple decades has been to hook up to a pc for tape to digital conversions.

    I had a weird CD/Cassette boombox in HS. The CD player could be pulled out and had its own battery compartment so it could be a portable CD player. The CD player took 6 AA batteries and had no skip protection.
