Yeah I pinged the admins of their instance and said if they didn’t ban them I would make sure every instance I have any pull with would defederate them.
I was surprised that they refused to ban them at first, but it just turned out they couldn’t see the removed comments. After that it was smooth sailing, and thank you for caring about this shit, this is too common.
Yeah that was a major fuck up by the lemmy.ml mod that banned them and used the purge comments function because that leaves no record of the removed comments in the modlog.
