Lol I dunno if you’re messing with me at this point if this legit happens like what you say about twitter or not but either way I agree with your statement.
Oh, some Twitter API/website changes were clearly designed to bungle rehosters like Nitter, like a cat and mouse game, hence (for a while, last I checked) the Nitter repo shut down and the closed source modifications worked.
I dunno about Reddit banning Lemmy specifically, there’s no smoking gun there, but it sure feels like it to me.
Yeah I can imagine Reddit banning and/or controlling outside communities if they feel like they’re “threatened” I know that’s not the right word but that’s the first thing that came to mind if that makes sense 😅
Yeah, I mean someone inside Reddit is watching and aware of Lemmy. Like how someone inside Twitter is paid to break Nitter to some extent.
