The Nintendo Switch 2's second month on the market was another explosive one, at least in the U.S., where it surpassed 2 million units sold life-to-date, putting it 75% ahead of the unit sales pace set by the Nintendo Switch 1.
It wasn’t a perfect launch, but I’ve been surprised at the general availability of the Switch 2. I was convinced you wouldn’t be able to get ahold of one for love or money for months and months after launch.
Is that how it is in the US? It has been super hard to find even one in Japan. Everywhere I go they seem to be sold out. I’m not looking to buy right now, but even then, all stores have big SOLD OUT signs for it.
Both the ongoing strong sales and good availability suggest that Nintendo was prepared this generation and had plenty of consoles in warehouses prior to launch.
