Concerns rise after White House calls opposition party an ‘extremist organisation’

Donald Trump could be plotting to outlaw the Democratic Party in the wake of the killing of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk, according to one analyst.

CNN’s Jamal Simmons said recent comments made by Trump and the White House deputy chief of staff, Stephen Miller, were “absolutely a concern” regarding the future of the two-party system in the United States.

Appearing with Kaitlan Collins on The Source to discuss the political impact of Kirk’s assassination, Simmons said: “The president’s deputy chief of staff came out today and called the Democratic Party an extremist organization, after the president said that he was going to take action against extremist organizations. Therefore, the question arises in my mind: Is the president of the United States going to outlaw the Democratic Party? Is that where we’re headed?

    I remember a whole lot of dipshit “independents”, Enlightened Centrists, and not a few liberals/leftists calling people out all over the place for supposedly violating Godwin’s Law. And that’s not only back in 2015 and 2016.

    These scolds who are way too occupied with being Tone Police were saying that even AFTER Godwin himself said this:

    In 2023, Godwin published an opinion in The Washington Post stating “Yes, it’s okay to compare Trump to Hitler. Don’t let me stop you.”[20] In the article, Godwin says “But when people draw parallels between Donald Trump’s 2024 candidacy and Hitler’s progression from fringe figure to Great Dictator, we aren’t joking. Those of us who hope to preserve our democratic institutions need to underscore the resemblance before we enter the twilight of American democracy.”[21]

    And now look where we are. Thank goodness a lot of these assholes abstained from voting because they didn’t have an appropriately pretty pony being promised to them…
