The Trump administration is a result of giving more power to a rich man or woman than to a poor man or woman. I don’t see how this fate could have been prevented by one more Democrats legislature leading to now. It’s a systemic failure and if you are not willing to change the power axis in society you are bound for all of this.
Yes. We (the US) have a two-party system with both parties racing to who can kiss rich people’s’ assholes quicker and deeper. The parties aren’t opposites, they just differ on rimming techniques.

The Democrats weren’t/aren’t a means of prevention; they were/are the least-bad, weakest opponent we could have been fighting. Instead, people chose the stronger, better-funded, more strategic, more ideologically driven option, and now we’re watching in horror as every institution that kept us limping along crumbles.
Continuing to vote for either party would have led to the same outcome eventually, but Democrats would have at least bought us more time to act.

They’re destroying themselves. Store money/value in a form that isn’t fiat (metal, guns, ammo, art, crypto). They are very close to the collapse of the US dollar. Their ponzi can’t sustain the debt payments anymore, and nearly all other mechanisms to prolong it have been exploited. Its hyperinflation will bring down nearly all other economies as well.

You’ll have to pardon me if I don’t buy into the “they’ll destroy themselves” prediction. I’ve been hearing that for the last ten years at least, and it’s based upon the faulty assumption that they’re too stupid to see the danger before them.
No, they’re not destroying themselves, they’re intentionally causing it. They already have ammo, guns, crypto, art, etc. They have military force. They have a surveillance mechanism in Palantir. They know they don’t have to preserve anything, because they have 10x the resources and connections the rest of us have. The biggest failure of the left is to assume that the monsters at the top are as stupid as their fawning cultists at the bottom.
Our best bet is to join together and start embracing a communal mindset. Don’t hoard guns, hoard seeds. Learn how to forage. Make a community garden. When shit hits the fan, you can’t eat bullets, and you won’t be able to shoot your way out of it.
Sure hoard seeds and self sustain as well. That’s not exclusive to preparing for dollar collapse. I suppose it was my ignorance leaving out ways to survive outside of protecting savings.
As an old man, protecting my life savings is important to me as I’m not going to be in my prime and able to forage and farm and hunt and whatnot. Equally important is making sure as the system crumbles that I have a group of local like minded survivalists to join together with.
I do disagree that they see the inevitable. But that’s moot.

When everyone can’t find food, they’re not going to peacefully sit back and watch those who are prepared eat. The guns are for defense and trade purposes. They’re equally important in a true doom scenario.
