Companies approached by the eSafety commissioner this month about the requirement to prevent under 16s from holding social media accounts from 10 December have conducted a self-assessment that the commissioner will use to decide if they need to comply with the ban.

eSafety will not be formally declaring which service meets the criteria but companies that eSafety believes meet the criteria will be expected to comply.

The only person I know who says skibidi is 30.

The problem is twitch and influencer-culture, not necessarily young users.

I’d wager a benefit of having young people on the internet is that they at least have the potential to provide value because their brain hasn’t been rotted to the core like most adults.

yeah and boomers were saying the same about us when we were watching a squirrel singing about “Gonads and strife” or a badly translated Sega Genesis game claiming “All your base are belong to us”

ALL generations watch dumb shit, stop acting like this ONE generation suddenly originated dumb shit to watch.

This is NOT a generational thing. Kids and teenagers ALWAYS were and ALWAYS will be the most stupid age group, with zero life experience and nothing to add to any conversation other than some stupid jokes.

Why do kids like you always have to make things generational??

Stop acting smart, go back to school, get some life experience and then come back to share it. All the best ❤️

The irony of this question is painful.

You just complained about what younger people do, and then you complained about being called out for it bevause someone “made it generational.”

          You made it generational.

            Uhm 👀

Where did I make it generational? Exactly?

Again, it’s an age thing, not a generational thing.

Let me explain it for you better.

When the gen z grows up they will still be generation z, but they will be older and smarter. Gen z is not going to stay under 16 forever.

When generation z grows up, there will be a next generation abc or whatever, that will be the new under 16s.

And so it has absolutely nothing to do with being generation x, y or z.

            Does that make more sense?

If not go back to school.

Also, thanks for proving my point that most kids are stupid and have nothing to contribute to serious conversations.
