    Apple has generally not had ads anywhere. However in recent years they are placing ads in more and more locations, making the user experience worse. Do you disagree with that statement?

      Really, they constantly have fake notifications in settings to try to get me to add credit card details. The push me to use iCloud so I don’t lose photos or settings. They give me unrequested notifications for free trials of their streaming service etc.

      They are less bad, as they mainly promote their own products rather than others, but it’s still advertising,

          I left apple phones many years ago when they launched Apple maps and killed Google maps. It was clear that profit was more important than user experience. It’s not something new.

      I don’t disagree with that statement in regards to advertising, but the level of control Apple has held over all of their product lines more or less made the situation inevitable (to say nothing about the likely data collection and ecosystem restrictions away from customers’ eyes).
