Today’s game is some more Project Zomboid. We got some more people on for our Milk Store server. What once started as a little trio has grown into little less than two trios though. I took one of them with me to the military base in Louisville to raid it. Not many good things except a generator and a bunch of Ammo though. I did find some radios for if we decided to use the in game VC though.

We also made a run by the local furniture store. One of our friend’s worked as a line cook/now owns a pizza place. So we decided to build a shrine to him on our kitchen table with an Apron. This way he can bless all our meals.

Overall the milk store is turning out nice. As you can see we have a nice little interior going on, with fridges and shelves for Supplies.

Even better, i took a truck and a axe over to the forest and started chopping down trees for a log wall. The result was this awesome perimeter fence we’ve got. I even built us a storage shed. We’ve got our own little base going on here and it’s lovely. I do wish there was some sort of server wide sleep function to skip to day for small servers like this though. It’d be nice, and it’d be even better to be able to use it to introduce the exhaustion systems to multiplayer.

Overall the Milk Store is turning out really nice. We’ve discussed moving a few times but honestly, with my carpentry getting really high, I think we could modify the Milk Store to fit whatever needs we have now without much work. Maybe I’ll tear up the Pavement for farming space too, or expand the log wall.

I am curious. Do you play 1 game each day? Or is it at some point in your life? Because I feel like 1 ga be a day is time consuming and also doesn’t let to dummy grasp the story of the canes. Or at least would be difficult for me.

When I started this it was at some point in my life. Around the 30 day mark though it just kind of evolved into 1 Game Daily.

I have a really open schedule right now (I’m a college student and only have classes 3 days of the week) so usually my days are pretty relaxed with lots of downtime. Though sometimes things do get a little exhausting such as during midterm seasons. I feel like it kind of shows in my posts during that time

It is playable solo. I have the most fun playing with friends, but there’s a great deal of fun to be had playing Single Player too. It has different vibes single player but id stills recommend it

It’s playable solo (and only solo in the current beta branch), but the devs have been nerfing that playstyle for years in the name of multiplayer balance. There are artificial limits on what one player can learn and do, with massive penalties to anything you didn’t start the game with. They include those nerfs in single player because they intend for NPCs to pick up the slack after they’re introduced.

(Note: NPCs have been a promised upcoming feature “after the next set of changes” for nearly fifteen years at this point.)

Fortunately they include settings to undo the learning speed nerfs, and hopefully will add more to make the upcoming crafting rework less of a pain for solo players. The litany of tweaks available at world creation is one of my favorite things about Project Zomboid, right after all the stellar business name puns.

Don’t forget the thousands of mods, too. And like the other reply said about server/game world settings before you start playing, there are mods that add even more settings to tweak, or they make gameplay smoother (or harder), or they add new things like weapons and vehicles. There are even entire new maps to add to play in.

It’s very doable solo, but it’s kind of a slog if you want to do anything significant in a playthrough, plus it can get very lonely and isolating.

It’s a bit like the Sims 1 meets a Zombie game. It’s a good time. I’d recommend giving it a try if you can
