Vice President JD Vance is blatantly attacking the Constitution’s separation of powers after a federal judge ordered the Trump administration to fully fund the Supplemental Assistance Nutrition Program.

Speaking in the White House Thursday, Vance called the ruling “absurd,” because “you have a federal judge effectively telling us what we have to do in the midst of the Democrat government shutdown.”

“What we’d like to do is to have the Democrats open up the government, of course, then we can fund SNAP, and we can also do a lot of other good things for the American people,” Vance said. “But in the midst of a shutdown, we can’t have a federal court telling the president how he has to triage the situation.”

But if we move the goal post back to where it originally was, and believe the judges don’t do “chicken shit,” how can they do any of that?

How fucking dense do you have to be. I answer your questions, somehow I moved the goal post?

The Trump admin is literally kidnapping people in the street and somehow the justices are doing fine work? Like, how is this even a start for a discussion here? How is that not shut the fuck down and Trump and his fucking croonies not in jail? Because the judges are fuckwits.

The US justice system is dead, the US is fully a fascist country now and we are all worst for it.

So the comment that you replied to, was in response to a comment arguing that Vance is correct in claiming judges have no authority over Trump, and that Vance’s claim is proven by the fact that they “haven’t done chicken shit” in response to anything Trump has done.

When some of the chicken shit that they have done, proves that they do indeed have some power and authority (not unlimited because that’s not how checks and balances work) no big deal, just ignore that and pivot to arguing that even if they do have some authority and do something it’s not enough. So rather than just admitting Vance is full of shit, it becomes an argument that since they don’t do enough to stop him, or have enough power to just over throw the president and the executive branch of the federal government (while apparently just ignoring that judges have undeniably created some road blocks and barriers to keep Trump from fully overthrowing the entire federal government using the authority of the executive branch), they might as well be doing nothing.

How convenient that would be for the executive branch, and the administration you allegedly oppose, if everyone just agreed to accept the bullshit argument that the rest of the federal government might as well not even exist because it wouldn’t make a difference anyway.

Nobody is calling what is going on with SNAP a “win” for the courts. Even though the propaganda you’re trying to spread relies on people believing that it can only be one of two things a win or a loss, the reality is there is no “winner.” This is not a win for the courts, but it’s also not a win for Trump. It’s another speed bump.

A fascist was elected president by a majority of the ~30% of the country who actually bothered to show up and vote. Setting aside who should have/could have done what differently, that is why he’s president. He was elected, and presidential immunity existed before Trump ever abused it. Judges cannot uphold the rule of law, and ignore a preexisting law just because of circumstances. All they can legally do is rely on using existing checks and balances that remain to try to impede him and slow down the damage he does.

At the same time, because of the checks and balances which you argue “do nothing,” the president does not have unchecked executive authority, even if he does have more authority than any fascist ever should.

If he did indeed have unchecked authority, there would be no need for his administration to request any appeals in response to a judge’s ruling, no reason for Vance to spread false propaganda that judges have no authority over the president, and no reason for people like you to try and help him spread that bullshit by continuing to repeat the false narrative, that since the rule of law can’t stop him from doing everything, it doesn’t do anything.
