    Rounding. In my country they’ll then claim not to have the nickel and try to shortchange you hoping yould turn a blind eye. I hate this practice and always call them out. It’s the principle of the thing.

      Precisely. Canada ditched the penny in 2013 when paying cash. Still exists for digital payments.

      It really made virtually no difference other than that the Mint saved billions.

        No penny pincher is still buying food at McDonald’s. That place is expensive as fuck.
