I used to daily drive this app for browsing Lemmy/PieFed and stopped due to random annoying bugs and design issues popping up. Now I just found this file in the codebase and it made everything click. What do you guys think?
Just to note, the dev has been really responsive to help any issues I’ve experienced. Xylight has been great.
If you’ve had bugs, have you thought about asking about them or trying to help solve the issue? Photon is obviously under rapid development, and it’s also pointed at moving targets… Lemmy and piefed both are rapidly changing.
I hate AI gen code as well, but I don’t think that’s related to things with photon.
Not defending one way or the other, but the existence of a Claude rules file doesn’t really mean much?
Half my jobs have them in every single repo, because AI use is encouraged for productivity.
What isn’t acceptable is just letting the produced code be merged in without understanding, reviewing, and testing.

I would love to hear your argument, but you didn’t make one.
What’s OP’s argument? A CLAUDE.md that lasted 5 commits before I caught its presence, created and deleted 5 months ago?
See that wasn’t so hard. Thanks for explaining. I had no idea if there was any merit to what OP was saying and your comment before you edited it was just some image with snarky text and no explanation.
