STD was the template, picard was supposed to fixed it but it fell into the same trap, for whatever reason they dropped the borg alliance arc at the end of season 2 to discontinuity of tng/ds9 series(changelings which more or less just stolen from fan source material of a novel, and a queen that supposedly died in an EXPLOSION in endgame), SNW sorta escaped it but it ultimately fell into the same poor writing in the end. Kurtzman is mostly to blame for nutrek anyways, he just is fixated on a post-jj abram series. i think LD and prodigy were much better, they shouldve just kept those 2 shows instead of making horrid 3+series, which obviously failed.
