    rip bozo

There is no “just taking orders”. If you are out there and not actively deserting you are agreeing to be willing to die for Israel’s cause.

What was he supposed to do?

      Jump on a bus?

If you’d been born in his hometown you probably would have considered joining up too.

You aren’t better than him, just luckier.

He was 42, plenty of time to walk away. Also, as someone who grew up in a similar town, I thought “damn I don’t want to be killing people,” and didn’t join the military. Not too hard to do.

More than likely. I live in Bellevue. It’s a mixed bag, being so close to USSTRATCOM. It’s almost 50/50 split. However, with it being so close to Offutt, it’s also a lot of “Support Our Troops” mentality and Pro-Military.

He was a 42 year old reservist. Suburbs of Omaha are full of military families. Offut is the fall back for the U.S. govt in case of Washington DC falling. For a lot of families these are just their careers, through multiple administrations.

I hate Trump. I hate this war. I hate this timeline. I do not hate this man and respect his sacrifice.
