It’s missing quite a few features and it’s buggy. Still ten times better than Cities Skylines 2.

I’m having a fucking blast and that’s just with peaceful mode trying to explore the mechanics and gameplay systems.

There’s definitely some depth missing in some areas but it’s already quite detailed and intricate, maybe even more so than other games labeled “finished”.

I’m in the same boat as you. I’m encountering a few of what I think are bugs in burgage requirements not being checked off as “met” when they’re clearly there (i.e. market stalls) but otherwise I’m having a great time with it and can’t wait to see more content added.

I don’t think that’s bugged, or at least afaik.

Market stall have a set amount of items (say 8 firewood), so they 1) can only serve 8 burgage plots and 2) will serve the closest plots.

So if you have 20 plots then only the closest 8 will have their needs met.

If that is not applicable, then yeah, it’s a bug. But wanted to make sure you were aware

Article presumes I had the money to buy it in the first place. It’s been good though.

How is this game compared to something like Banished? No city builder has been as fun as banished for me

Yes, it definitely has some similarities but you also get crop rotation, free building placement, diplomacy, military.

Your citizens also have needs which, when met, allow you to upgrade your buildings like the Anno games.

Imo it’s better than Banished. Maybe not right now, but for sure when it’s fully developed.

Cool to hear. From what I’ve seen on YT it’s a bit lacking, especially for that price, so I’ll rather wait for a decent discount and more content & polish.

Bought it expecting to be blown away. It’s kinda lack luster so far. Pawns are very buggy constantly getting stuck. All building is basically gated by how many ox you have to drag wood around. And they always seem to go for the farthest felled log instead of taking from stock pile that’s much closer. And if your switching family jobs it swaps first family out by default which isn’t ideal for many reasons and going through menu to choose what family is painful.

Not sure what all the hype is about. Four point system to choose house plots? It’s cool but not that cool lol

Thanks for your opinion, hard to make a decision to spend money if you’re stuck in a positive review echo chamber.

Yeah they could put it on permanent discount, and let us know the price will never change!

They don’t discount often because they make great games that people go for.

Games discount to push sales, and high demand doesn’t need regular pushing.

Other developers should copy RimWorld and Factorio and make great games.
