    Who cares?

    Facebook is a cesspool of spam with an owner who in my opinion appears to think that “Soylent Green” is an instruction manual…

    I don’t know, you may need to ask someone at Facebook.

    However, most people who want this kind of feature hope to use it to violate the privacy of others, I think. Which is imo a good reason against such a feature. Another reason against it is that a significant portion of people are not logged in, so the data would be wrong anyway.

      Imagine the creepiness level when as a woman you get a ton of page view notifications every day at 2AM. Some of them from coworkers. Some from family members.

      Some things are best left unknown.

    I doubt it. It’s a very significant design decision, and they’ve maintained it unchanged for 20 years. It completely changed the entire nature of some facebook interactions to do so.

    LinkedIn does, if you’re looking for a community based more around transparency and business casual.

    I don’t think they will. Fewer people would use it if they feel they have less anonymity while cyberstalking. FB walks a fine line between impinging on our privacy and giving people the illusion that they still have any privacy.
