I don’t think you know what tone-policing is, because it’s neither what I was doing, nor what I was warning about. Tone policing is about attacking the tone of an argument, not attacking the content of the rhetoric. The whole point of tone-policing is that it’s an ad hominem.

And literally nothing I said was an attack on what you said, I was adding to it.
