My options for internet connectivity are very limited. I was wondering if I could go to a library or coffee shop or wherever has a good connection and do all my downloading remotely, or if I will run into problems/restrictions.

I’m thinking they may not allow VPN’s or something like that?

You’ll probably be severely throttled (I know my local coffee shop does) and if you aren’t, you’ll be being a huge dick to anyone else on that AP. I strongly advise against it.

You won’t be able to port forward without a vpn that supports it which will severely limit download speeds. Might be worth a shot if you have a vpn though

Use a seed box to torrent, then simply download the files from it.
