  • I’m a Brit of Indian origin, and the way we make tea is like this.

Fill your mug/cup with water/milk in whatever proportion you like. Pour into a saucepan. Add your teabag/tea leaves and any sugar. Heat and stir until you get the desired strength.

I never could like the western way of making tea. It doesn’t taste right to me.

In my family, when we were kids, breakfast traditionally consisted of toast dunked in Indian style tea (still my breakfast now). We also had our own version of eggy fried bread sometimes at tea time, that we’d also dunk in tea. I’m scared I’m going to be called a deviant now 😅

  • That reminded me of that flash game where you could press buttons on a Bush action figure to hear some bushisms (like “when we’re talking about war, we’re really talking about peace” and “there’s an old saying in Texas, I know it’s in Texas, probably Tennessee” and “peeance freeance”?) and there was one button to make him spit out a pretzel he was choking on. I tried to look it up but I can’t find it :(

  • I still have the html files for my first geocities site. It was a Commander Keen fansite with info that was already on every other fansite. But it was mine! And I used marquee tags and background midi files and gifs whenever I wanted to, and WordArt for the page headings.

Even then I was late to the party. My the time I joined, geocities was part of Yahoo. I remember when the URLs used to be cities and neighbourhoods.

    Also, Onchat.com.

  • Nope, I don’t think I’d ever heard of it prior to the Arthur version.

We did the fall of Icarus in Year 3. My little sister learned Theseus and the Minotaur when she was around the same age, which is how I knew about it. Other than that, I don’t remember studying Ancient Greek anything, not even Heracles. Your school was obviously better than mine.
