Uh, are we watching the same show? She seems to have the complete and total respect of those around her, including Dadmiral and even the bad guy.

No a pro-piracy argument, but most artists get fractions of a penny from the sales of media anyway. Only the biggest stars are paid a fair share of the profits. I always try to find a way to support directly or use a platform (bandcamp, steam) that adds some value and gives a majority to the creator.

Back up an image the entire operating system HD when it’s working well. If you ever get overwhelmed with bugs you can always go back to a functioning state.

We all like checking out the latest features and updates but it’s important to remember that it’s not a race.

This makes sense to me if you consider the type of person who is likely to leave reddit is also less likely to be just a passive consumer of content. I imagine in ten years time we’ll have two kinds of “social” media: decentralized activitypub discussion-based networks, and commercial entertainment platforms that might have comments but little else in the way of connecting.

Another stat I like to highlight is the moderator-to-user ratio on Lemmy (and the rest of the Fediverse) is similarly around 10x more improved.

When i said “designed for discussion” I meant that Mastodon posts are displayed in chronological order instead of sorted by engagement.

I agree that would result in a commercial failure, but Mastodon is not commercial, not does it have an obligation to grow. So it seems to be working very well for the people who do use it.

What does “fail” mean? Twitter’s algorithm is for entertainment. Mastodon is designed for discussion. Both can exist just fine, but you can’t have a platform that does both well.

Although I think I’m doing something wrong and the memory in modern games is just dynamic so the correct location can’t be found with just the memory addresses.

OK that’s the same thing I was suspecting. I noticed the memory addresses had similar names, but there was no way to search for partial addresses or anything.

I couldn’t get Game Conqueror working on Bazzite. PINCE worked, but I couldn’t use any existing CE configs, and saving my own didn’t work the next time I loaded the game either. That could maybe just be a Silksong thing but I’ve never had that issue before.

Not a dealbreaker for Linux, but it was the one time I remember thinking “this is a lot easier on Windows”
