Tips are the biggest cancer of American economy that has been spreading to EU for years now. Tips are literally corporate handouts and not a reward for workers doing their job well. Some newer games are starting to run slow and I also have 240Hz monitor so I kinda need higher framerate. VRAM is probably slowly becoming and issue too.

I’ve decided to hold on to my 3080 too. 4080 was stupid and 5080 is no different. Hopes are for 9070XT if it matches 5070Ti and isn’t idiotically priced and actually obtainable, maybe. I don’t mind Radeons, have had several of them in the past.

Issue is, I need something more powerful. B570 is slower than my 4 years old RTX 3080… I’d pay up to 800€ for RTX 5070Ti, but not 1200. Waiting to see how RX 9070XT works out, but I bet it’ll be around there with performance and price of 1200€ as well. Which is why all of it is stupid.

Whole graphics cards market is absolute shitshow and has been for several years now. Piss poor availability, bullshit MSRP prices no one can buy anything at, lackluster performance gains and worst of all, absolutely idiotic real world prices. 1000€ for a somethingsomething 70 card from NVIDIA is just absolutely insane. This is just out of control and this is what will actually collapse the PC gaming industry as whole, not consoles, handhelds or laptops. This greedy bullshit NVIDIA is doing. And AMD is basically forced to follow, they just make their “flagship” few bucks cheaper because they are second best option atthe moment.

CPU accelerated physics were severeley dumbed down to make PhysX look better and there are several high profile games on that list that will forever have physics stupidified because of corporate BS back then that affects them now.

I never got hooked on to more “simulation” NFS games like ProStreet and Shift series except NFS Porsche 2000 which was amazing and I wish EA would just fix the damn thing to run and look nice on modern systems if they can’t make remaster due to licensing. But I have no hopes and no one managed to hack it as fan made patch to this date…

I too have obsession with NFS series, because the concept with cops is just so cool and adds that extra variable in the racing so that each race is different and not just sterile holding the best line which is just so dull and boring.

There were very few other racing games that would draw me in so much as NFS. I can only count few of them through literal decades. Lotus 3, Test Drive 3, Stunts 4D, Screamer 2, Re-Volt, Split/Second and Mercedes World Racing. Test Drive Unlimited was also pretty interesting,but I only used it to just drive around through Hawaii.
