Late 90s & early 2000s Toyotas, before the active fuel management regulations of 2007-2008 are the peak ICE car.
TBH using Bottles to run an exe feels more refined than the epic games UI.
These guys are living in the glory. I bet they don’t even know all the info they need is just in a fucking config file, in a damn manual somewhere or in the stupid docs that people doesn’t seem to bother reading anymore, or writing some decent ones.
shlubs who barely passed undergrad data structures and algorithms courses.
And that’s the problem with most people getting into IT nowadays, they expect to go to an algorithms course or a development bootcamp and come out knowing everything to make a 6 figure salary, but don’t even try to learn what a software dependency is or how to fix their dev environment and expect GPT to shlub it up, when in reality many of these old school software programmers were self learning nerds who were just trying to solve (a) problem, and spent hours doing so.
Not to mention the sense of pioneering something.
something you’re happy to spend 80+ hours a week on, especially when basic needs are taken care of.
Vs writing the same thing that already exists with a different front end, a bunch of times with different examples, because somebody who has more resources (not just more cash, but also time) decides visuals are more important than real functionality.
Part of the reason I don’t like ‘coding’ or developing software its because is so dreadful and feels overly stupid when an open source alternative works better than what you’d be able to make before the deadline.
I just rather be a CTO / SysAdmin and live happier.
Programmers of the past didn’t have to work 2 jobs to be able to buy a house and live comfortably, less alone spend most of their paycheck on inflated prices for gas, food, services, etc. But hey we got AI and Amazon Prime now.
Isn’t that a byproduct/effect of capitalism? You could say the same thing about Walmart.
Classic
Goverment / Army.Walmart. Taking a perfectly thing and finding the absolute worst supplier that will make it for the bottom of the barrel lowest price.
A couple hundred thousand at least, plus setup, on boarding and monthly maintenance fees if I could take a guess.
THESE DAMN GLOBALISTS!!!
Also that commercial real estate is more important than residential estate.
I’m Gen Z and did all that shit. I still remember the VG extraction methods to make eLiquid with THC from YouTube. And then kingpens and brass knuckles and others became accessible. The good old times …
Sponsored by gringos like you and me.
Dude I tired DEX once, I saw I couldn’t rotate the monitor or even find some type of settings and I never tried it again.
So everyone already said here they aren’t alive. They aren’t bacteria, they are viruses. What I remember from college classes is that we can classify them as agents. Or infectious agents. They rely on cells to replicate, which they infect in order to do so.
I have a X220 and a T14 Gen 2 (11th gen Intel core) and the quality is night and day. Also they introduced cheaper models like an E series, the L series and those have even worse materials or QC.
They never saw a cake base and dome? The candles could be stuck to the dome and blown that way…
Imagine turning on the engine and the A/C via SSH on a hot day, remotely from the office.
Maybe if you didn’t keep your head inside your ass you’d feel a bit embarrassed of saying stupid shit online. The confidence you have to say stuff like that is truly perplexing.
