I’m confused by your helpful demeanor but by all accounts pcsx4 is a scam and you’re being extremely misleading.
I agree completely, I’m more referring to OP saying they might be cherry picking. Journalists always try to generously interpret his ramblings instead of pretending like anyone with half a brain is reading their articles and making up their mind for themselves.
I’m honestly flabbergasted that after a decade of insane Trump quotes people still think context will make them any less insane.
Check out this lady’s salary if you want to be depressed about how wealthy she was, or laugh at what she threw this all away over
So is that a no? It’s a discussion of empathy and you immediately turn it into a debate. Are teenagers often extremely dramatic? Of course! But I don’t understand why we need to immediately discount their feelings or experiences because of it. I’m sure plenty of people who’ve gone on to end their own lives were described as dramatic as well. I just think we need to default to empathy over defending ourselves a little more in the modern world.
“Before you grab the pitchforks to go after Bethesda or tell us that we’re idiots and you know how to stop the update – remember, that’s you know how to do it, not the collective. This is a collective project; we want everyone to have the past four years of work to come out and be the best mod possible for all of our followers. We want to incorporate this special mod that we’ve created for everyone.”
This comment explains pretty well about how this is going to potentially affect legitimate users, credit to neoman4426
Nintendo Switch cartridge based games have a file that’s unique to each individual cartridge. The dumper and accompanying flash cart make use of that file. If Nintendo detects two people playing while connected to the internet with the “same” cartridge, there’s a high chance of them banning both consoles. So any used game anyone buys after this point runs the risk that someone dumped it, maybe an old owner who resold, maybe someone who bought and returned it, etc, which means even a legitimate user who hasn’t even heard of the flash cart could get banned. There’s also the potential issue of people using the tech in the flash cart once people figure out how to use those chips to sell bootlegged reproduction cartridges that have the same issue
Would you consider RATM an authority on how I should feel?
You quoted them so, maybe?
This is hilariously stupid, like genuinely ask yourself how Rage Against the Machine would feel about a billionaire dying.
I guarantee your illiterate ass didn’t read a word of this article.
I appreciate the consideration and at the end of the day I really agree with you and it sucks to see the state of the industry as a whole right now and really hope we can get back to being respected as consumers some day.
I’m actually not making any of those arguments and disagree with all of them myself. My issue with mtx is generally that they prey on people with psychological tactics that are proven to work on a lot of (generally vulnerable and younger) people. Helldivers does none of that, it’s not “least pressured to buy stuff”, you’re not pressured at all.
And I know I’m being a little sensitive here but it really sucks to lose someone from cancer and see someone comparing it to a shop in a video game of all things.
I agree if those things leverage fomo to get people to pay. In helldivers you can earn that currency just playing the game so if you have less time to play you have the option of purchasing the currency and their versions of battle passes are always available to buy and work on at your leisure.
Lmao, talk about being asleep, literal Nazis marching in the street and Trump saying this to Christians, “If I get in, you’re going to be using that power at a level that you’ve never used before.” But let’s all worry about some random imam in Miami. You’re a racist joke of a person.
Damn dude, good on you for the self reflection and adding to the discussion. In my opinion, helldivers 2 is a good example of monetization done right in so many ways. $40 price tag, “battle passes” are always available and don’t prey on fomo, and you can find the premium currency just playing the game.
It’s an order of magnitude more dangerous to get in your vehicle and drive somewhere than it is to be a cop. Is this how you’d defend someone who committed vehicular manslaughter due to negligence?
