Linux@programming.dev•Microsoft's Secure Boot UEFI bootloader signing key expires in September, posing problems for Linux users
34·6 months agoTools to do that exists.
fwupdis a tool to update firmwares. I just tested it on a thinkpad and went from 351 keys to 518 secureboot keys.GNOME Software also uses fwupd, that should take care of a good chunk of users.
I didn’t even know the dash was optional. I guess you learn something new everyday.
Stalw.art allowed me to create an email with spaces. Thunderbird also allowed me to send to the address, even though it has a warning symbol and says “[…] is not a valid email address”.
And to my surprise it was also delivered sucessfully.Edit: I also wanted to see if Lemmy allowed spaced emails. It does not :(

Technology@beehaw.org•Brailliance - a new game by the makers of Wordvoyance
2·2 years agoI think it’s a good game. I’m proberbly not the target for this kind of game, since I’m not very good at word games.
I found this game a little too hard, but other players might find the difficulty to be good. Wordle wasn’t my kind of game either. Maybe highlighting vowels could make it slightly easier for dumdums like myself, but I have no idea if that would make an effect. The UI feels refined and even the web version on mobile has a native feel. If it didn’t have a share button to compare the daily challenges with friends thrugh pasting in groupchats, I think you should add that (I couldn’t solve the daily challenge, thats why I don’t know if it’s implemented)

Yes exactly. I couldn’t find it on the fish online docs. Alt-. apparently also work in bash, so i should just not use the ESC version. I use it a lot for renaming and moving files. Thanks.
