Sorry to hear about your ankle. When you’re able to, I’d also like to know what the add-on is
And yet I can’t beat the CAPTCHAs because reCAPTCHA doesn’t like VPNs lol
I thought you meant military occupations and I was so confused. Like asking what’s the one military occupation you oppose (you aren’t allowed to oppose any others)
It says GNU/Linux but also says “and others” which could mean anything. eg doesnt specify if something like Alpine would be affected—is that “and others”?
In any case, I’ll wait 2 weeks and find out.
Homeschooled or just not educated?
I don’t know the mental capacity of OP’s mother, but if she can consent to this, I don’t see a problem with what is essentially a patient deciding to film themselves in their own room. And if she’s not capable of consenting to this, I’d say that OP’s suggestion to install a hidden camera in her room is pretty unethical.
OP is installing the OSes on separate disks. The common disk is for user data, not for the OS.
OP isn’t trying to parse HTML though… they are trying to detect opening xml tags. Which seems quite achievable with regex.
I think blocking roads and publicity stunts are ineffective, but there’s plenty of actually effective stuff you can do, like tree spiking or sabotaging oil infrastructure. I don’t really care if people want to block roads or throw soup at paintings but I don’t think it’ll achieve much. I guess better than doing nothing. But with the draconian punishments people are getting in various countries for this sort of protest, it really doesn’t seem worth it when you could do something that’s also criminalised but actually directly does something to prevent climate change.
Personally I don’t like how a lot of the XR-related groups are so ideologically wedded to nonviolence, to the point where they condemn and actively oppose others on the left they deem “violent” (which is usually just racialised people who acted in self-defence at a protest). I see that as a bigger problem than ineffective protests, because they’re actively withholding solidarity from those who should be aligned with them.
Fifth as in fifth most recent command or fifth oldest?
Candling like others have said but also in case you didn’t know, it is safe to eat a fertilised egg. Obviously if the chick is developed it’d be quite unpleasant but in the early stages I’ve heard it tastes the same as unfertilised.
No, there is simply no such thing as “zeroth”, that’s not how ordinal numbers work. If I have the following numbered list:
Foo
Bar
Baz
The first item is “Foo” which is indexed 5. It is not the fifth item, because the item indexed 5 comes first in the list, so the item indexed 5 is the first item. Ordinal numbers don’t refer to index, they refer to order.
I never claimed I was trying to “sway over newbies”? Do what you want, this is just my personal preference.
Artix repos > Arch repos > existing AUR package > create my own AUR package
No need to use any of these flatpak/appimage/snaps when I can just make a package for my distro. Most software is not difficult to package.
Donating blood/plasma is a good thing. Economic conditions in which poor people feel obligated to give blood just to make enough money, whilst rich people don’t feel this same pressure, are bad.
I don’t know how exactly private blood banks work (in plenty of countries blood banks are public and presumably non-profit), but regardless, I assume nobody can get blood transfusions if nobody donates. So until the political system is overhauled just keep donating? Your blood donations aren’t the root cause of capitalism
Again, why use Windows at that point?
At that point please just use another OS. You should be keeping your OS up to date.
kyun.host is mullvad-like insofar as your account is identified by a random account ID and they dont necessarily have an email etc on you (you can provide one so they can contact you if you want but that’s optional). Have not used their services myself but I’m aware of them.
