Of cause that is a BS reason. But they should have stopped using fax machines 20 years ago. How can any reason they give why they have to stop now be any other than BS.
All good. It’s easy to misunderstand, when cyberpunk is the best known (and oldest by far) genre that uses the *punk.
As I understand it, the punk is always anti corporate. In the dystopian cyberpunk, that normally means criminal and violent.
In the utopia that is the solarpunk genre, anti corporate means community and strongly social behaviour.
That is not solar punk. Solar punk is a peaceful vision of the future in harmony with the planetary boundaries. This is militaristic fantasy with more of the color green than usual.
