Fascism continues to sweep the world. Apparently loads of people find it really appealing.

Whoops, shot in the back, beaten and strapped to a scorching jeep like some kind of human shield. Just another whoopsie by the IDF, but don’t worry, they’ll look into it to investigate how on earth they ended up being cruel to Palestinians.
Linux: Libre Office
Windows: MS Office
Libre Office is also available on Windows.
“Free software” doesn’t mean you don’t pay for it, but that it respects and preserves the user’s freedom. The opposite is not “cost software” but unfree software.
Most of the other points in this list are also questionable or inaccurate. In fact, I think the only true one is the first one: open source vs closed source.
It’s the best of the Chromium-based browsers, but closed-source is a shame. I wish Firefox would copy some of Vivaldi’s UI ideas.
Which is partly because people don’t have as much money as they used to.
He won’t just ignore it. He’ll do what Ron DeSantis does in Florida and actively pass laws to make it more difficult to do the right thing.
You can’t assume from people voting for one of the only two parties that can win an election, plus the fact that neither party promises adequate action on climate change, that people don’t care. In a first-past-the-post system people often feel forced to vote for a party that is not their favorite and doesn’t prioritize as they would like.
I don’t recommend PopOS! because I think the Gnome UI is confusing to people who have only used Windows before.
This guy just poked his head out to see what all the noise was and got shot twice. Israel seems to be shooting Palestinians indiscriminately.
What if the antisemites… lie?
I’m going to use this for my next order of crystalware and explosives.
Some patients are spending a year and a half in hospital isolation receiving old medicines instead of just six months of treatment at home, because countries do not have access to the most up-to-date therapies to cure people of the infectious disease.
If it’s a question of cost, then keeping someone in hospital for a year and a half surely has to be more expensive than just buying the drugs.
Apparently it’s a suspended sentence and they are not in custody, so no prison time will happen. Just business as usual for the exploiters.
I don’t understand how people get these ideas, except that they live on a diet of propaganda. Conservatives never help anyone except themselves.
Poilievre’s Conservatives are an awful option and will only further harm the country. But they are winning the propaganda war at the moment, with many people somehow convinced they have something to offer. It’s the usual right-wing fearmongering and scapegoating as a distraction from real issues they have no plan or intention to address. But once the right wing media machine starts to do its work it’s hard to see others catching back up again.
KDE Plasma is so much more snappy and functional than Windows. Linux has lots of good options.
So we don’t have to go to that site:
I see it’s fixed now with 0.19.5. Thank you!
It should, and the Democrats should absolutely use their own decision against them to reinstate a neutral Supreme Court. But I expect mild grumbling followed by silence.
