It’s actuslly an exercise one of my TA friends sets for students when they’re just learning to research things properly. She gives them a claim on Wikipedia and and asks them to find the primary source for it. So they end up spending hours following chains of citations, until they are checking out old books from the library to try and find excerpts that some blog post that was cited in a paper that was cited in a newspaper, that was cited in a different blog post that was cited in another news article that was cited by Wikipedia claims exists, just to find out it doesn’t.

But seriously, don’t take Wikipedia seriously unless it cites a primary source directly.

In fairness even if a big studio released a great game, enough people would either try it and not like it, or just give a bad review because it’s EA, that it wouldn’t make this list.

I know it’s just autism. But I get the train into work, I’m the 1st stop from the start of the journey and it’s a quiet train so I’m either alone in the train car or there’s 1 or 2 others.

Over the course of months taking that train I found the perfect seat in the car, optimal space and legroom, near the heaters, away from the bathroom and luggage racks, best side for the view etc. And I sat in that seat every day for almost 2 years.

Then out of fucking nowhere, this absolute piece of shit, this detestable rotting husk of a man, possessed by the faintest whisper of a some ghost that was lobotomised and abused in it’s previous life before crawling it’s way through ever circle of hell to be rejected by satan himself for being such pathetic waste of existence, before falling arse first back into the mortal realm and landing inside that hideous, cantankerous, deprived, and loathsome body, starts sitting in MY seat, of all the 50+ seats on that carriage, of all the 8 carriages of that train and he chooses to sit there every single fucking day. I once even tried waking up early to go to the station the train starts at. But despite getting there almost 15 minutes before it departed, that foul beat disguised as a man was already there in my seat.

I still do not know what I have done that was such an afront to whatever cruel god casts it’s scornful eyes on my life to cause it to unleash this plague of man onto me in order to torture me on such a deep and primal level. But no sin of man in heaven or on earth deserves this kind retribution.
