I don’t think Mbin users don’t like it. It increases users interaction and activity, because you can see people who up vote your posts, not only void numbees and even a lurker causes an increase in activity. They shouldn’t change anything.

I have used sites where votes are public. Sometimes people call out users who have given a thumbs up or down. It is a matter of getting used to it. We shouldn’t pretend that votes are anonymous when in reality they are not.

What’re your experiences with the current state of lemmy apps?

Now it’s very good, a year ago it was hard. I use boost, rarely jerboa and others not at all, not my style of interface.

Crying for liftoff (T_T) it was better than jerboa.

Having a nervous system definitely does not mean being conscious. Even people are often unconscious. Sleep, narcosis, etc. But it also depends on the definition of consciousness of course.

What about the deaf and dumb? Language is not just spoken words. Maybe animals have their own kind of internal dialogues like deaf people.
