My biased take if you were looking for downsides: There’s a lot of downsides. ICE massive funding increase to rival the budget of a military in other countries, slashes to programs for impoverished children and their families, adding several trillion dollars to the deficit through uncontrolled spending. That’s just a fraction of this bill. Even some of the more hardcore republicans were having trouble taking a bite of this big beautiful shit sandwich.
