1 year agoYeah, the West kept semiconductor technology away from the Soviets for years and even though the Soviets managed ways of importing it through grey markets in other countries, their reverse-engineering attempts were consistently a decade or more behind the West, something that’s continued to this day in Russia.
I’ve still got my copy of Windows 3.1 on 3.5" 1.44 MB disks; there are seven in total.
Now, Windows 95, that was a monstrosity on floppy disks.
