SmartVoice TTS has the best results for me so far. Tried Sherpa, but liked the voices recommended by SmartVoice better for longer texts.

Elden Ring. It’s like they just glued inconsistent creature ideas next to each other. Every couple of hundred ingame meters you come across a different biome with different creatures that appear nowhere else and has a boss that visually and equipment-wise completely out of place. It feels like fighting your way through dozens of puzzle-pieces forced next to each other without any explanation why. You have to try to make your own story as to why things are the way they are and any criticism of the game is shot down by the worst stereotypes of gamers.

5.5h to 6.5h, but I’d love to get 7.5h to feel truly ready for the daily challenges again. Haven’t had enough consistent deep sleep since the 1st kid was born. That really flipped a switch in me.

Tenacity as the most successful Audacity fork after their Telemetry debacle.

No results for “StockOS” on XDA. Must be a very new ROM. ;)

The perfect synchronicity of the Metal song and the player character pumping their shotgun at the end of the opening sequence of DOOM (2016) when they exit the elevator towards the surface of Mars.

Well, at least we already have good candidates for Zorg already. Leeloo is bound to show up soon. Or maybe she’s called Luigi in our universe.

Finally playing through all the Hitman reboots in one go (They’re called 1-2-3, or now “World Of Assassination” for the whole experience, plus paid DLCs for additional missions). I played through all the original Hitman games back in the day.
While you can of course cheese your way through each mission pretty easily (NPC: “Well, he only held that weapon in his hand for less than 2 seconds, so I’ll ignore it.” or “Oh, coins on the ground! Better open that locked door to get to them so that you can follow me inside!”), it actually IS a lot of fun if you deliberately take it slow and discover all the stories that are hidden in each mission. It opens up crafty ways of getting to your targets & entertains much more than just exploiting the game engine’s weaknesses. Truly something for #patientGamers

I had the same struggle. Repatching or downloading modded APKs became annoying. But there is a way. Happy to DM about it.
Skimmed the title. Brain registered words “rpi” and “linux” underneath it. Instant reaction: “Not another app package format please”. 😶🌫️
I should spend more time reading properly & less time being an old man yelling at tech.

I’ve had a few candidates openly say that they took some time off and now their savings for that time period were used up and they needed to find a job to begin paying bills from income again. I enjoy such comments because it leads to me asking how they’ve spent their time away, what brought them to the realization that they wanted a dedicated time for themselves and how the last job before this time off went for them. Lots of opportunity to learn about the human in front of me.

I enjoyed it with a mindset of “This is an unofficial Crysis 1 (PC Game) movie adaption without the power-suit”.

“Abzû”. That’s a hill I’m willing to die on. Got to me even more than Journey or Jusant.
Also, thought very differently, “Senua Hellblade” because it perfectly displayed a condition that I could never fit into words.

If you were happy with generated voices from ebook files, then this will work nicely: https://github.com/santinic/audiblez

Came here to write exactly this. Thank you! <3 Another neat feature of this “gesture” (many-year effort, actually) is that you can’t just buy it like a bunch of flowers or a fancy holiday. It actually takes time & commitment.

Because the one is legal while the other is not. That’s all we need to know about the system we live in, no?
Electric Callboy. Saw them live at a festival. They’re sooo popular here right now, but OMG this is not Metal. This is Carnival music. Glittery idiots, techno bassline and confetti canons. I actually left their performance early.
