    so why is ‘white dude for harris’ not on mastodon, instagram, bluesky or whatever the alternative is instead?

    twitter, as you say yourself is not a useable source of information or platform for people not on the nazi part of the political spectrum.

    its not like a public space we can take over. musk has all the control over who even gets seen.

      Likely because those are vastly under populated compared to Xitter. When running promo, you have to go where the people are sadly. It’s harder to make people come to you.

      Because it’s an election and X has hundreds of millions of monthly active users. It would be irresponsible not to campaign where there are people.

      Again, ignoring the existence of X won’t make X go away or stop mattering.

      Yeah, and when he uses that power to manipulate the gigantic captive audience he bought, we should call him out on it.

      Because those are unfortunately fringe tech, with Fringe user numbers (relatively speaking)

      I thought it was founded on Mastodon. At least that’s where I heard about it, 5 days or so before the fundraising call on Monday.
