No not at all. I’m saying despite that, there’s still nothing stopping someone from taking a car or a gun and killing someone with it.

Edit: Downvoting this comment won’t make it untrue. There’s an example in the very article you just read.

Don’t lump me in with the trumptards. I voted Harris. I’m just stating facts.

I have no doubt “the good christian” parents would have passed any gun laws or background checks you could throw at them.

That little girl needed better parenting, mental healthcare and to not find a gun laying around.

What new enforceable law could have prevented this?

Guns are harder to buy = fewer guns sold = fewer guns made = fewer guns available for psychopaths, it’s really not hard at all

You assuming these people would get around a background check based on absolutely nothing is not the rock-solid argument you think it is and it’s certainly not justification to continue to do nothing to stop people slaughtering toddlers.

I’m not making an assumption about how criminals obtain guns. That’s just statistics. They either buy them before they have a record or they steal them. I suppose some percentage is private sales done on the DL.

Take guns away from psychopaths and they’ll switch to explosives. I think we should focus on the psychopaths instead of the tools that they’re using.

Why does it have to be one or the other? What makes you think there’s only one solution to this very complex problem?

I believe america’s problem is that people are miserable. Sure if we didn’t have millions of guns all over the country of would help. But we do have millions of guns all over the country, right now, today. The cat’s out of the bag. Even if we stopped all sales and manufacturing of guns right now, there are still millions of guns all over the country.

So I think the best avenue now is to focus on mental health and making this country not a be hellscape that a large percentage of people hates living in. Happy kids don’t shoot up schools.
