Summary

Russia warned Donald Trump against reclaiming control of the Panama Canal after Trump declared in his inauguration speech that the U.S. would “take it back,” citing overcharges on American ships and China’s influence.

Russia’s foreign ministry reaffirmed Panama’s legal ownership and the canal’s neutrality, urging respect for international agreements.

Panamanian President José Raúl Mulino also rejected Trump’s threat, calling Panama’s control “non-negotiable.”

The Panama Canal, vital for U.S. trade, handles 40% of its container traffic, raising tensions over Trump’s provocative remarks.

The only reason Trump is making a play for Greenland and the Canal is to give Vlad cover to take over Ukraine. It couldn’t possibly be any plainer if he got on stage and told you.

Well, I don’t think it’s specifically cover for Putin and Ukraine (only), however that’s a good way to do it. I think anything Trump does out loud is to cover for a long list of evil plans.

My main prediction is replacing foreign imports with local slave labor, initially staffed with arrested immigrants. That will be Trump‘s legacy.

Panama would allow the US to have control over trade. Strategically, it’s a good move. But, life doesn’t have to be a game of war.

Maybe we should also be thinking Russia-Ukraine in its entirety is a cover for something on a larger scale.

Isn’t Mexico considering a panama canal alternative of their own? If they can actually get it done then a Trump take over of the panama canal would probably just go badly for the US in the long run.

That would be absolutely hilarious. I hope they do it. However, I don’t think they can make that work—geographically.

Costa Rica might be able to.
