While instituting the largest tariff increase in modern history, Trump claimed that the income tax was passed for “reasons unknown to mankind” and caused the Great Depression. Here’s the real history.

Wow. If you think Trump can’t get more nuts, he puts up another shovel of manure.

The reasons for income tax are not “unknown to mankind”. Why on earth should other countries pay your government? And guess what rode the US into the recession in 1930: random tariffs placed on countries by a conservative government.

I am so goddamned tired of him repeating the lie that foreign countries pay the tariffs. Sure, their citizens pay any additional retaliatory tariffs, with the middle/lower class of each country paying more as a portion of their income. They think they’re being sneaky transferring wealth to the top 1% and unfortunately there are not enough people paying any attention to the grift yet.

I’m not sure if Trump is exclusively stupid or lying. Probably both.

It’s frustrating that his fans will repeat his nonsense.

Not enough people know anything about history.

While I have my own ASSuMEd feelings about the buffoon, I don’t think insulting his intelligence does anything for anybody and saying that he is lying on this instance can’t really be proven and still doesn’t help anything.

What I do think is that the regime is hell bent on reducing the cost of the federal government by removing any expense that cannot directly or indirectly line their pockets. And after reading this, I think it is clear that they want to completely eliminate income tax.

Remove social programs and tax people on essentials and capitalism will die as the means of production will suffer and parish. Or slavery will be the next thing to come back.
