    I was wondering, if someone shot rubber bullets at a cop, would they be charged with attempted murder or assault?

        You don’t even have to shoot anything. You don’t even have to be holding something capable of shooting something. The cop just has to say that from their perspective it kind of looked like you might have been holding something that could have been capable of shooting something and they’d likely be able to justify murdering you.

          If anyone ever doubts this, go watch some police body worn camera videos. They routinely shoot people for things like this and get away with it. Then on videos where someone ambushes the police, the right wing lunatics watching will always say “See? This is why they are so jumpy!” as if it’s totally justified.
