Really a link from Russia today. Russia’s foreign-outreach Kremlin financed media outlet. I wonder how biased that would be regarding anything to do with Ukraine.
Edit apparently my filters have failed me and I have traversed into your wasteland of garbage. That one is on me. I guess I should fuck off. Is my source from the Western media industrial complex?
The idea that the Bolsheviks fought to preserve the boundaries of the Tsarist empire, including invading Ukraine, is absolute nonsense. Ukraine was one the founding members of the Union and the USSR was the first formation that recognized Ukrainians as a nation and actively promoted their distinct national heritage, language, and culture.
The Bolsheviks did fight against a subset of Ukrainians, specifically the anarchists, because the anarchists literally organized an army and said “now that the Russian revolution is over they are weak and this is our time to strike”. So they were crushed. But not in any way, shape, or form because of a reasserting of Tsarist imperialism.
So yes, this article is complete Western consent-manufacturing trash and can be safely ignored as such.
Hungarian news sites seem to be posting this same piece of news, which supports its authenticity. The only bias here would be whether the media choose to report this or not (reporting bias). So far most European and American outlets are silent.
Better than the dominance of western outlets constantly pushing pro-NATO expansionism under the direction of the imperialist empire that is the United States.
Hey now the US may be a failing empire but we’re not as bad as Russia …yet … we still mostly pretend and keep up appearance … but the mask slips more and more.
Strong disagree here, the US have more genocides than Russia under it’s belt, have had destabilizing effect on the world for the last 50 years by making neoliberalism the defacto political ideology of the world and is the only county to use the atomic bomb(not to mention on non-military targets).
It has always been good at marketing, but under that it’s all blood.
Every time somebody tries to bring up the “America is just as bad as Russia” argument, I like to look at and compare South Korea vs North Korea and West Germany vs East Germany. We basically have proof that America isn’t trying to conquer the world. It practices catch and release.
America’s done lots of horrible things but Russia seems to ONLY do horrible things. America helped Japan rebuild and then gave it its freedom again. Russia still refuses to let go of Southern Chishima. America is not as bad as Russia.
Having said all that, I would prefer if NEITHER of them were global hegemon.
Also I shouldn’t have to explain this but my man. WWII total war. Technically speaking, if your country was involved in the conflict, you were a military Target . Was the firebombing of Dresden a war crime? Was the firebombing of Tokyo a war crime? Total war is not nice. However, there is a difference between bombing, a civilian population that works at the factories and the factories and just bombing civilian targets. Hiroshima and Nagasaki were flattened much the same as the damage incurred by the firebombing race preceding them targeting war material and infrastructure All up and down the Japanese coasts in order to soften the country for a potential brutal invasion.
I would also remind you that every one of America’s imperial wars for the last 100 years has directly been because of our ambitions clashing with Russia’s and the fallout afterwards.

So you prefer the comforting lies of the western media industrial complex?
You can either read the article that I posted https://www.aljazeera.com/opinions/2023/1/24/how-western-scholars-overlooked-russian-imperialism or you can fuck right back off to ml.

Or do facts hurt your feelings?
That opinion article is absolute trash.

Pure poetry
US is an empire no doubt there, but Russia also is one. Changing one for the other will not improve anything.
Name Russia’s imperial holdings

Jack, I would argue that creating and supporting puppet governments is less bad than invading all of your neighbors and directly being in charge of the attrocities. I would like your opinion on this article. https://www.aljazeera.com/opinions/2023/1/24/how-western-scholars-overlooked-russian-imperialism

Oh fuck I didn’t even read the rest of your drivel.
Japan was LITERALLY NEGOTIATING SURRENDER when the US nuked two civilian cities.
WW2, Yugoslavia, Iraq, Iranian coup, death squads in Latin America
What are you even taking about?
