Watch Vance and his techno fascist cronies take over after that. This may get worse before it gets better.

Do you have a Canadian ancestor?

The 2023 Bjorkquist decision overturned the first generation limit to pass down citizenship. There is an Interim measure to accept applications for special grants of citizenship beyond one generation and there is a bill in Parliament to put in place a remedy to address the findings of the Superior Court of Ontario (which the federal government has not appealed).

I do. My mom‘s entire side of the family came down from Quebec. But that’s great grandparents back, and as far as I can tell, that’s too far back to count.

I have sent you a DM.

Good luck. Great grandparents born in Canada can be enough. That would make your grandparents ok your mother’s side citizens. (There have been some retroactive corrections of women’s loss of citizenship in marriage.)

I just moved less than an hour from the eastern border with Maine. I’m from New England, and I lived in Alaska for 3 years. I’m prepped and ready. I also own like 12 parkas.

I was three years in k2k. I thought I was ready for it. I thought a walking commute down McLeod trail in t2n made me resilient and I’d do fine.

              I was wrong.

Pay attention to how you’re doing and don’t be a hero. The weather does not care about you and it will kill you if you let it – that’s the lesson I got from the region of this country that is its namesake.

…walking up March Rd past Terry Fox, into the December wind, tears rolling down my cheeks from the wind but then freezing in place because of the cold. It was then I remembered I’d had 3 socks in my combats in Calgary and 3 layers of wool over my face (and ski goggles) so I didn’t lose pieces.

Don’t get weather PTSD. Be safe.
