Dow Jones defended its (WSJ) reporting in a statement: “We have full confidence in the rigor and accuracy of our reporting, and will vigorously defend against any lawsuit.”

The White House Correspondents’ Association denounced the barring of The Journal from the press pool, saying in a statement on Monday, “This attempt by the White House to punish a media outlet whose coverage it does not like is deeply troubling, and it defies the First Amendment.”

    Yeah no shit.

The White House had previously barred The Associated Press from the press pool because it did not abide by Mr. Trump’s name change of the Gulf of Mexico.

Soon it’ll really be only TikTokers and Youtubers anymore.

But one day all this will be over and we’ll have anecdotes about Rump like we have anecdotes about Stalin now. This is my copium these days.

Sure, they can still do their own reporting. But I saw this press pool thing explained in a The Newsroom episode, and assuming it’s even half factual they do have a lot of power over who gets their info (first), “and that’s a broken system” to quote Mango Mussolini himself.

Do other countries have a press pool for their “leader” like we do?

It does seem a little odd now that I think about it

Why is Trump allowed to travel internationally? As soon as he’s out of the states, he should be arrested for crimes against humanity

Trump banned a Rupert Murdoch newspaper organization?

Wow, now I’ve seen it all.
